11 (non-spoiler) thoughts on Inception

in Entertain Me

  1. How does Leonardo DiCaprio manage to look both 12 and 42 at the same time?  And why is it only guys that seem to pull that off?
  2. My teenage crush on Joseph Gordon-Levitt seems to be firmly intact. But what is that voice he’s doing?
  3. Of course they have all of the explanations of confusing complicated matters done by the mumblers or those with heavy accents.
  4. My head hurts.
  5. I get that it’s a dream, but why do explosions not hurt them if bullets do?
  6. Does Christopher Nolan take mind altering drugs? Because it seems like most of his movies are weird explorations of the brain. And I think mind altering drugs might make these stories a little easier to come up with.
  7. My head hurts.
  8. Wait, what??
  9. So this is what an M.C. Escher image would like as a film!
  10. My head hurts.
  11. I wonder if this would make more sense if I was drunk?

(despite this list, I wholeheartedly recommend the movie–it’s fascinating, well acted and, despite the brain power it requires, a great way to spend a few hours.)

#11…you arent the only one that thought that I think!

I didnt see Inception, so I think the video was kind of lost on me, but when I read your list I automatically thought of it!

I refuse to see Inception simply because everyone keeps talking about how great it is. I’m cranky.

I liked it. I didn’t think it was GREAT. I really like that director’s movies, usually, so I expected more. But you’re right, DiCaprio is weird, he can look old and young at the same time.

Couldn’t agree more. I spent the whole time wondering what was going on, Not in a good way.
