I’ve been waking up the past 5 days or so with a raging headache. I don’t know if something in my neck is maybe out of alignment? Or it could be the weather swings we’ve had (we went from raining & relatively cold(er) to super dry & warm(er) in a 3-4 day time period)? Whatever it is, I would like it to stop, please and thank you. I already hate getting up in the morning, but waking up with a headache is just cruel.

The poor dog is also pretty miserable. Something is triggering her allergies pretty badly, and she is just an itchy mess. Her allergies have gotten a LOT better since we 1) changed all her food to stuff she’s not allergic to (which was quite the endeavor, let me tell you) and 2) did the allergy exposure therapy, but it’s still not perfect, obviously. We need to do another round of the exposure stuff, but it’s spendy so will have to wait until I’m employed again. But damn, I hate seeing her so miserable.

I found some forgotten Audible credits, so I’m looking for good audio book recommendations. Anyone have anything they love in audio form? Non fiction or fiction, either one!

I’m mad at my foot right now. It’s swelling & stiffening up on me (this one I *am* blaming on weather), plus I’m annoyed at two of my scars (one is going to be bigger than I was hoping, and one is getting kind of hard & sort of…stuck in one spot which I think is contributing to some nerve stuff), and I REALLY would like to wear socks that don’t feel like burlap or have my sheets on my foot without it feeling scratchy. None of it is the end of the world, and I still marvel EVERY DAY that I just…walk around! Without issue (mostly)! It is FABULOUS! But those other things are still annoying. Bah.

You know you go to Target too much when you walk in and exclaim “Oh, I like how they’ve changed the dollar spot!”

We went to meet with J’s teacher recently (just to get to know her, see the classroom, get the scoop on homework and stuff since we missed all that good stuff in the weirdness of moving him from K to 1st). Anyway, it was a short meeting, but at one point, she says:

“Jackson is really sweet kid, works hard, does great in class, seems to really like learning, and is a pleasure to be around. But man does he get dirtier faster than any kid I’ve ever seen in my life.”

Yep. Sounds about right.

I like David Baldacci while I am driving. Just finished The Hit.

I’m obsessed with listening to the Armand Gamache series by Louise Penny. It’s a French Canadian detective series and so well written and voiced. I adore it.
