Welcome to the first week of the prompt link up! I decided to call it Bring Back the Words, since that’s kind of where this idea originated. (I continue to like the idea of finding our words again, clearly.)
A few short notes, and then I’ll get to it.
First, as we try this out, please please please let me know if you think something isn’t working, or if you have ideas for making it better/smoother/easier. I want to make this work for everyone who wants to participate, so if it’s NOT working for you for reasons you think are fixable, please let me know.
Second, if you have prompt ideas, send them my way, either in the comments, on Twitter, on Facebook, or you can email me at ginger (at) rambleramble.com. I’ve been putting prompt ideas together for a few days (some better than others), but I have no claim on good ideas. 🙂 So please, if you have prompt ideas, send them over (I’ll credit you with the idea of course!).
And with that, let’s get to this week’s prompts! We’re going to start off with an easy one, and one that was my favorite from last month’s writing challenge. Have fun!
********************
Prompt 1:
Why’d you start blogging?
Prompt 2:
What’s the best decision you ever made?
(Courtesy of Clara)
Guidelines, such as they are:
- Write a post sparked by one or both of the prompts. Answer it literally, or use it as an inspiration point, whatever gets your brain whirring.
- Link your post(s) here by Saturday night at midnight PST.
- Throughout the week, go back and visit other participants of the link up. Let’s support each other as bloggers and writers by being readers! (Was that too idealistically chipper? It was wasn’t it?)
- The link up will stay up for a week, and the new one will go up next Sunday, and so on.
That’s it! Have fun, and I hope this helps spark some new blogging mojo for a bunch of us!
I had a little head start with my ‘how I started blogging story’ as I’ve tried to write it before, but you inspired me to finish and actually post it!

Thanks for inspiring me to pick up my blog, dust it off, and start expressing myself in a new way

I’m really bad with directions but I’ll try my best to follow the prompts. I sort of wrote about this in the past…http://oilandgarlic.wordpress.com/2011/08/15/why-i-blog/
Loving this already. My story is not unique, but I found blogging and I am so glad I did!
I’d already written about why I blog, so I tried to write about decisions. But I couldn’t pick one “best” one, so… well, it is my usual navel-gazey sort of post. Hope you like it!
I ? being part of this. Thank you! Looking forward to new blogger friends & your stories.

My first post!

And my second should be up tomorrow. 🙂
Do you need a graphic for the linkup? Cause I can make one that would be all relevant to the cause.
I can’t believe I missed the deadline! I am truly the best procrastinator on the planet. Anyway, just posted and I will go and read everybody else’s after dinner when my squirts are in bed. http://torturedpotato.com/the_comeback/?p=324
