Hey, it’s Friday, and I’ve got work nonsense coming out of my ears, so…how about some other great reads?
Kick it:
First, this pair of posts over at Ask Moxie, Free but not cheap and More on Free but not cheap came on the heels of several different discussions I was having off and online about whether motherhood should be called/is a job. These posts take that idea on, in a really thoughtful way.
I love this post over at Reading (and chickens): Nineteen. Though it is technically a letter from the Shalini of today to the nineteen year old Shalini, I see a lot of good points for all of us to learn from.
This post over at All & Sundry broke my heart: It all vanishes. I don’t get super weepy about my kid growing up that often, but this post about that exact subject had me sobbing. Beautifully written, and a fabulous reminder to not rush our kids through childhood.
And now, to lighten the mood, two more fun posts.
Over at Reading (and chickens): How to Solve an Internet Fight. Yup, pretty much this.
And finally, for those of us who have trains coming out of our ears, over at What She Said: The Official Thomas and Friends Drinking Game. Though I would warn that you are probably gonna get sloshed REALLY quick with these rules.
Have you read anything awesome lately? Share share!
Well, shucks, thank you again.
