Reads From Around the Web

I hate days when I wake up and there’s tragedy all over the news. It’s a sad reminder of how fragile our lives really are that is then quickly followed by annoyance at all the bloviating and pontificating to try and make a point. This is why 24-7 news isn’t always the best thing in the world.

But to get my mind off it (and maybe yours?) how about some RFATW?

Over at Princess Nebraska, Investments & Inspiration, discussing how fashion CAN be inspirational, in an utterly inspirational post. It makes me want to go out and celebrate everything about my body, to take every negative thought I have about my stomach & my thighs & the clothes that look schlubby & say SCREW IT I’M GORGEOUS. Seriously, go read this one.

Over at In Madison, What Do You Want? is a great reminder that we need to ASK for what we want. That we deserve to ask for what we want. I love, love, love this post.

Over at The Happy Home, Emily makes up a drink that is RIGHT up my alley with Cocktail Friday: The Pineapple Upside. Seriously, this is totally my kinda drink, perfect for a summer evening.

And, because it’s been a busy couple of weeks AND because I’ve been reading more books than blogs lately, that’s all I’ve got. But if you want to see what books I’ve been reading, you should come be my friend on Goodreads. Have a great weekend kids!
