2012 To-Do List

Another year, another list of things to-do.

  1. Read 50 books. SUCCESS! 52 total, woo!
  2. File our taxes before April. Fail but barely. April 7th.
  3. Bring lunch to work at least 3 times a week. HAHAHAHAHA
  4. Skype with all of Jackson’s grandparents at least once a month. I hang my head in shame that this isn’t happening.
  5. Do one thing a month to pamper myself, make me feel pretty, or accomplished or special.
  6. Attend a concert.
  7. Redo the categories and tags on Ramble Ramble.
  8. Grow Noodle Knobs to at least 1/2 the traffic and subscribers of Ramble Ramble. Well, we got there technically, but then we shut down NoodleKnobs, so you know, I call that a wash.
  9. Organize my makeup drawer by making this Thanks to my awesome husband I’m loving my makeup organizer.
  10. Take Jackson to Legoland. By the skin of my teeth, on December 29th thanks to an awesome Christmas gift from my mom.
  11. Get to my goal weight. Didn’t get to my goal weight, but I’m happy with the progress I did make. This was a technical fail, but I’m happy enough with the results that I don’t really mind.
  12. Eat at least one vegetarian meal a week. Yeah, this has not gone all that well.
  13. Streamline my social media accounts. Done. One Facebook account, one twitter account, boom.
  14. Take at least one picture a month with Jackson that I’m in as well. They may be crappy iphone photos, but I took lots of pics of me and the little man. Which makes me happy.
  15. Commit to writing posts before turning on Twitter or FB if I have a post idea. Uh, yeah, about that…
  16. Create a workable monthly budget. Done.
  17. Get crowns on my front 6 teeth.
  18. Handmake 3 items for fun, function or fashion this year. I don’t know what I was thinking with this one.
  19. Go on a road trip with my family.
  20. Do 350 jumping jacks a week. Bwahahahahahahaha. This so did not happen. BUT! I did do the entire 30 Day Shred program. That counts for something, right?
  21. Host a local blogger get-together. It makes me really sad that I failed this one.
  22. Print and frame family photos.
  23. Fill out the entire year of the One Line a Day book. Not gonna happen. I call uncle on this one.
  24. Learn a great, go-to tortilla soup recipe.
  25. Find an “everyday” cocktail that isn’t mostly caffeine or acid.  Amaretto and half & half on the rocks. It’s not diet friendly, but it is YUMMY!
  26. Have one date night a month with my husband (even if we don’t leave the house).
  27. Create a media kit for Ramble Ramble. Snort.
  28. Get my rings and earrings cleaned.
  29. Continue saying yes more often.
  30. Wake up by 6:30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays so that Jackson gets to daycare on time. Snort.
  31. Have people over for dinner/drinks 3 times this year.
  32. Get my passport up to date. Damnit, I’ve had this on my list SINCE I GOT MARRIED. Why do I have a mental block against doing this?(I know, because it only highlights that I don’t travel internationally?)
  33. Cook or bake at least once a month. Yeah, not so much.
  34. Make a memory binder of all of Jackson’s photos from daycare.
  35. See 5 movies in the theater. Hunger Games. Batman Forever.
  36. Buy reusable baggies for Jackson’s and my lunches.
  37. Clean out my feed reader of blogs I read just because they’re big.
  38. Mark Jackson’s growth every 3 months for a year.
  39. Write Jackson and N.C. letters once a month.
  40. Start selling Noodle Knobs prints. Not gonna happen.

I had read 50 books on my list a few years ago and read over 70, so it’s doable… but I also didn’t have a child (or wasn’t expecting) at that time, so that could alter it too.

Lots of good and fun to-dos though! 🙂

Whoa! That is a lot! Hope some of it is working out – I like that you have some simple things on there like buy reusable lunch bags and take Jackson to Legoland.

Lots of good ideas here; I love to read, but never feel like I ‘d have enough time for 50 books. I am DEFINITELY going to try your drink though–Amaretto with 1/2&1/2 on the rocks sounds heavenly!
