The Words Don’t Come

The words don’t come.

Or there’s a first sentence, maybe a paragraph, before my brain flits to something else. The time to think a solid thought seems like a luxury during the day, and the brainpower to take a thought to words on a page seems like an impossibility at night.

Then there are the times when the words are there, but the courage to share them isn’t. The fear of who might read, who might find, who might judge overcome the words.

Sometimes, it’s that everything on my mind is either totally frivolous and silly, or totally deep and heavy. I write better in the space between those, or at least easier, and so I feel out of my comfort zone. I don’t know how to say the silly stuff right, and I don’t know how to say the heavy stuff well.

I want to write. But tonight, again, the words don’t come.

I so feel you (insert recent blog post about a tv personality because I have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ELSE to write about).

Hang in there.
