It’s been a while, but that just means I’ve got a backlog of great stuff to share. Which means expect a few more of these soon! Read on, and enjoy!

Jett is one of my favorite writers on these here webs, and every time she posts something, it gives my brain something to roll around in, to savor. This one is no exception.

I am from Break Something: A heart, a bone, a liver I am from bound and determined and from get the job done and from we don’t do fail I’m from one hand easy on the wheel and one hand tapping on the outside of the car door to keep time I am from give me a break and don’t be a chump and brook no bullying I am from poor white trash and hayseed nobility and every penny earned.
DadCentric is filled with great writers, but Jason is one of my favorites. This post is one of many reasons why.

There is always a need to say something. The ability to define a thing in some sense gives one the ability to control it – this, this is a bungee cord, and while people use it for this this this and this, I use it to keep the sleeping pad rolled up, and thus I own it, the concept of a bungee cord, what it is, what it is not.
Oh, how I love Elizabeth (and her site!). In this post, she explores the truth in the cliches of time and parenthood (along with her signature gorgeous photography!).

UPDATED: CORRECTION TO #3 BELOW Yo Gabba Gabba is our favorite kids’ show. We didn’t start out loving it, of course. We started out with the reaction everyone has when they first see it: What…the…hell?  Um? But we kept watching because our child was mesmerized by its splendor, and it took only about two episodes before we experienced The Transformation.
I’ll be honest, this is the first post of Krista’s that I’ve read. But it resonated for me in a LOT of ways (and if you read through the comments, with a lot of other people too). I think it’s good to remember that so many of us feel this way at times.

Posted on 14 September 2011 by kristas Preface: I hate “woe is me” posts. Unless they are “woe is me, I’m sleep deprived, my baby is teething and my toddler is running circles around me” posts. But yet, I’ve had this “thing” on my mind that I just can’t shake.

P.S. I’m trying something new here. So let me know if you have any tech issues please!
