Wonderful Wednesdays

Well folks, it’s that time again! Wonderful Wednesday where we look at the good stuff in our lives to get over the hump of the week. So let’s get to it, shall we? Here’s what’s wonderful for me:

  • The elections are over. Which means the political ads can be over now. No matter what side you land on, we can all agree that the end of political ads is wonderful.
  • We only had a little bit of Halloween candy left after Sunday. Which means I’ve not eaten my weight in fun sized bars. Last year, we had probably a good 2 lbs of candy left over after the meager 5 trick or treaters. This year, we had WAY more trick or treaters, so only a little candy left. And N.C. ate most of it. 🙂
  • N.C. is having a boys night on Friday to celebrate his best friend’s birthday. Which means that I will get some time by myself (after the kid goes to bed) to do things like watch stupid girly movies (I’m taking suggestions) without snarky comments beyond my own and eating whatever random combination of foods I’d like. I’m so excited…it’s actually a little sad.
  • Because of anticipated record heat today (boo), I’m wearing this great little dress that is 1)comfortable and 2)really flattering. It’s nice to feel like you look good, you know? And I won’t be able to wear it once it actually cools down, so even though I’m bummed about the heat, I’m glad I get another shot at this dress before spring.

So folks, that’s me. What’s wonderful in your world? Leave me a comment, or blog about it and I’ll link you up below!

I am BEYOND EXCITED that the political ads are over…..for at least a little bit.

You are preaching to the choir with the heat nonsense. So not my scene.

Your night sounds great! Eat some great food, and watch whatever you want. Can’t think of any suggestions right now, but if I do, I’ll hit you up with them. 🙂

Ahhhh don’t be bummed about heat! It’s already so cold up here in MI that I’ve forgotten what warm feels like 🙁

I think this is a great idea!

Today is the first day here that there’s been a chill in the air. I’m excited for cardigan weather!

And I’m SO happy that the political ads are over. Seriously.

My Wednesday was wonderful because for the first time in about a month I got home to NO voicemail messages from political pundits pleading for my vote and smacking their opponent around. I like feeling popular, but not when it comes to endless, dreary, political messages. And, YAY, for awesome dresses!
