Wonderful Wednesdays

It’s that time again–Wonderful Wednesdays, where we look at the good stuff to get over the hump of the week.

This week, Wednesday isn’t so wonderful overall. It’s been a day of dentists, which means angst over the chair, anger over the state of my teeth, dismay over the ever burgeoning cost of things I *should* do, irritation at how chintzy my dental insurance is, and embarrassment that I don’t have a pretty smile. So, you know, not so wonderful that stuff.

That being said, there is one VERY bright spot in my day. Because of all the appointments (we took J to his first pediatric dental appointment, I had one, & N.C. had one), I worked from home so that in between appointments I was working not commuting.

And THAT means I got to play legos with Jackson in the middle of the day. And give him lunch while I ate mine. And put him down for his nap. And get him up from his nap. And dance to Jack Johnson with him. And listen to him play while writing emails.

And that was pretty freakin’ wonderful.

So peeps, what’s wonderful in your world? Let me know in the comments, or blog it and I’ll link you up!

If I didn’t have a different post to wrote (and if there wasn’t a Dexter for me to watch) I’d totally write me own Wonderful Wednesday post because today was great!

I declared victory on the weaning process today. So, I’ve been feeling pretty good about being able to say goodbye to that chapter of our relationship with very few tears on either end and with our wonderful bond intact.

It was raining all day, which I loved.

I made some kickass risotto. I think I may be addicted to risotto.

And today, Charlotte finally started calling me “mommy” instead of “mom”. It always bugged me that she did that, and it sounds sooooo cute to hear her say “mommy”.

I’m glad you had such a good time being home with Jackson. But, that dentist stuff is mega lame! Though, I don’t even have ANY dental coverage, so…

I have an OB appointment tomorrow, and probably for the first time ever I’m not terrified to go!
