Wonderful Wednesdays

It’s that time once again folks–Wonderful Wednesdays! When we take a look at the good stuff in our lives to get over the hump of the week. So let’s get to it, shall we?

I’m actually in a really good place right now. There’s a whole heck of a lot of wonderful in my life–enough to even make me (mostly) ok with the annoying bullshit going on at work. I mean, I’ve got all my celebrations coming up which is fun and exciting. I’ve got a baby who is fun and cute and starting to say things like mum-mum-mum-mum (yes, I get a quadruple name) and toddle and learn things.  I’ve got some positive things happening career wise. It’s summer. I love where I live. My husband is a cool guy. I’m a pretty freaking lucky girl. (side note, I wonder if I’ll ever feel comfortable calling myself a woman. I’m going to be 31 in a week and I STILL don’t feel like woman fits.)

I go through phases when I’m frustrated with everything–usually prompted by work issues–and I can’t see all the good things in my life. But right now, I’m feeling pretty content. I’m able to SEE how wonderful my life is. I’m able to SEE how blessed I am. I’m able to see how, frustrations and irritations aside, my life is good. I may need more sleep and less stupidity at work, but who doesn’t?

So today, my wonderful is recognizing that most of the time, I’ve got no business bitching about my life not being wonderful. Because most of the time, I’m one of the lucky ones.

So tell me kids, what’s wonderful in your world? Let me know in the comments, or grab the badge and post it on your blog–I’ll link you up!

I once had an instructor during a public speaking class jump all over me for referring to myself as “girl.” Apparently I was putting myself down. Hmm, she seemed to be the only person offended by it… I certainly hadn’t offended myself.

I’m going to get a pedicure tonight while the boys go out to celebrate my husband knocking me up. I’m so excited to go sit in a massaging, reclining chair and soak my feet. I might stay there all night.

oooh, a pedicure…that sounds super wonderful! I’ve been meaning to do that…all summer? Enjoy it!

I’m the exact same way about the woman thing! I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to say it.

Sounds like things are wonderful over there, for sure!

Gosh, it seems like most bloggers are gen-exers. Well I’m a boomer, so there! Thanks for your interesting comment on abdpbt about the publishing perspective. I was trying to wring it out of Anna but she wasn’t getting my point. You nailed it.

As I always say, age is just an attitude (in which case, I may be turning 31 next week, but I’ve acted like I’m 45 since I was about 12! And of course, I have the knees of an 80 year old.)!

Glad to help–I’m always happy to spout off about stuff I *actually* know about.

Oh, glad I stopped by. I needed a little wonderful today.
I’m feeling a wonderful surge of courage lately. Does that count?

PS- Woman, girl, lady – whatever. 🙂 My favorite is Mom. Or in your case, “mum mum mum mum”.

It absolutely counts! (I loved your photos today by the way, they were a wonderful series!).
