I know exactly how you feel. I go months sometimes without picking up a book, but then one day, I'll pick up a book, and for the next 6 months or so, I've got my nose stuck in one every time you look at me. It really is amazing how you can just read a book and escape the real world!

I am the exact same way! It seems like sometimes reading takes a backburner even though I love it. I'm with Tough Girl: when my mind is otherwise occupied, it's difficult to focus.

Certainly don't go to law school then. The idea of sitting down and holding a book repulsed me for years. Still have problems with it even now.

I try to read for an hour every night before I go to bed. When I'm angry or anxious, I can't get myself to calm down enouh to actually sit and read without ruminating. I can't get "into" a book if something else is running through my head. So I think I kinda get what you're saying here!
