Today I need to be still. Quiet. Reflective.
Perhaps this will help.
I wish I could sit, almost hidden, while I contemplate the world.
But then I might be all slimy…
Oh, sorry, did that ruin the mood?
P.S. I really am stuck in my own head tonight, trying to work through some professional angst. But I’m also quietly contemplating yesterday’s election of Barack Obama and what it’s like to be in the middle of history. And while I’m not naive enough to think that one person will literally change the world (and overnight at that!), I am excited about how many people were inspired this election, how many young people voted, hell how many people voted. I wish I were as eloquent about Obama’s win as many other bloggers out there are…but since I’m not, you can read two of my favorites here and here.
Just discovered your blog through Chuck’s group, and I’m enjoying it…
That is a beautiful photo – where is it?
Funnily enough, it’s in the garden at the Stone Brewery. Inside they’ve got these massive tanks and industrial looking operation for making the beer, and outside they’ve got this gorgeous garden with waterfalls, koi ponds, lush vegetation…it’s quite the spot!
It looks slimy, but that color green looks awesome. i think duke is going to get me a Lucky Buddha for Christmas. Yay!
That looks like a lovely garden, I wish I could put a big water feature in mine. I stumbled here from 20sb, how funny that NC is your husband, I’ve been reading his freelance comic for a long time!
He’s been slimed!
I love these photos. I assume you used a tripod as it’s a timed exposer? I love the green!
Believe it or not, no tripod. Pure luck that I pulled it off without one!
